2017: the commercial real estate investment market registered a record value
In Italy, in the year that just ended, the commercial real estate investment market registered a record value: with around €11.1 billion, 2017 was the best year ever (and increasing by 25% compared to 2016). A particularly dynamic fourth quarter with volumes of €4.2 billion, the highest quarterly level ever achieved, contributed to this extraordinary result. Also in Q4 2017, the Office product was one of the biggest contributors to volumes with almost €1.2 billion of investments (28% of the total for the quarter) for an annual amount of €3.9 billion: a stable value compared to 2016. The volumes recorded in the Office sector in the year that just ended were mainly concentrated in the city of Milan with €2.2 billion, followed by Rome with €904 million.
