This year, BNP Paribas celebrates 30 years of financing and services to MFIs (Micro Finance Institutions). The Group, in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, is one of the most active banks in this sector.
In three decades, the Group’s support to microfinance has reached 900 million euros (amount of authorizations). Today, the number of borrowers indirectly financed by BNP Paribas is 2.2 million, of whom there are no fewer than 1.8 million women worldwide.
To pay tribute to these women, we launched the project “Little Big Movement“ (#LittleBigMovement), which aims to describe the journey and stories of these women micro-entrepreneurs. In a gallery of some 50 portraits, Little Big Movement invites you to meet Yao Ahou, Saiqa, Dede, Matilde, Johane, Ana, M’Barka, Rekha, Jani, Cristina and others who, with the support of BNP Paribas, were able to carry out their projects and change the course of their lives.
