There is time until 28 October to participate in the sixth edition of Open-F@b Call4Ideas 2019 the international contest promoted by BNP Paribas Cardif, one of Italy’s top ten insurance companies.

Human Data Science is the theme chosen for the sixth edition of the contest. It is a multidisciplinary model that puts people at the centre, understanding what matters to them, while also aiming for an holistic approach to medicine, wellness, nutrition, lifestyle.

Aimed at anyone with an innovative idea (start-ups, scale-ups and innovative companies, entrepreneurs, young students, etc.), Open-F@b Call4Ideas is an Open Innovation project that BNP Paribas Cardif launched for the first time in 2014 in collaboration with

After having addressed the issues of Customer Acquisition, the Internet of Things and Big Data, the Customer Experience and Preventive Insurance in past editions, the challenge in 2018 focused on the best technological solutions that have a positive social impact on people and society. In 2019, the contest will reward the three most innovative ideas on the subject of Human Data Science.

A committee consisting of BNP Paribas Group and BNP Paribas Cardif executives, university professionals in the field of digital technologies, and experts, will select the finalists, who will personally present their projects at the final event in Milan in November. The BNP Paribas Cardif R&D team will then work with the winners in the development and implementation of their projects, on a basis compatible with the market’s and the Company’s needs.

In the annual contests over the past five years, over 300 candidates have submitted proposals (one-half of them coming from outside of Italy), more than 60 innovative ideas have been selected, which have led to various working relationships and the realization of at least one project a year, and a total of around €800,000 has been invested.

Applications to participate must be submitted by 28 October 2019 via the registration form.
